Abu Zari is the vision of A. La'Mont Hollins a/k/a Fareed Abu Zari—a former multi-platinum songwriter whose gift for storytelling found a new lane in scent. What began as an idea to share favorites from his personal collection of imported Arabian perfume oils quickly grew into a house devoted to finely crafted extrait oils and attars.
A NAME, A YEAR, A LEGACY.
The name Abu Zari means “father of Zari”, a tribute to Fareed’s youngest daughter, Zari’yah. She was born in 2015, which corresponds to Hijri 1436. You’ll find 1436 woven into our logo as a quiet emblem of that beginning
—marking both her birth and the moment the brand was born.
Every fragrance in the collection is personally selected by Fareed for its character, cultural soul, and beauty in wear. To preserve integrity from first note to dry-down, each perfume oil is bottled at the time of purchase—fresh, concentrated, and true to the blend you chose.
